The 405 ‘Going Home’ Session Filmed in Ásgeir’s Hometown

The 405 recently visited Ásgeir‪ in his hometown of ‬Laugarbakki, Iceland and filmed a hauntingly beautiful session of ‘Going Home’. ‪The video is a precursor to a documentary The 405 are filming on the Icelandic music scene to be released in the coming months.‬ Read the article here and watch the video below:

At just 21 years of age Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir has become a sensation in his domestic music scene - staggeringly, almost 10% of the Icelandic population now own his debut album ‘Drýrð í dauðaþögn’ - the English version, translated by John Grant, will be released worldwide on January 27th 2014 as ‘In the Silence’. The Icelandic version has now gone triple platinum and won Ásgeir 4 Iceland Music Awards and a nomination for the Nordic Music Prize earlier this year.
