Support PIAS and your local independent labels!

10 Aug 2011

In a mad week that has seen lives and livelihoods ripped apart by mindless acts of violence, it was maddening for us here at One Little Indian to hear that the Sony/[PIAS] warehouse in Enfield, London, had gone up in flames, along with much of our stock, thanks to a minority contingent of feckless looters.

We’re sure you can understand how devastating this news is for all the independent labels that were housed in Enfield, and how very thankful we are that none of our friends at PIAS were injured in the incident.

Our whole-hearted thanks goes out to everyone who has showered us with support and encouragement this week. We hope to extend that fighting spirit to all our fellow independent labels affected by the riots.

There have been many fantastic suggestions for how to help all the labels who have taken a severe hit, especially from the likes of The Quietus, Drowned In Sound, Boomkat and The Guardian. Click a link and show your support if you can. We will all appreciate it.

With love
