Stubborn Heat: Mixmag Album Of The Month

17 Dec 2012

Mixmag have made Stubborn Heart their Album Of The Month calling it “intensely sensual and involving” and marking a superb and well deserved end to 2012 for Luca and Ben.

Hailing from London & Oxford respectively, Stubborn Heart - aka Luca Santucci & Ben Fitzgerald - set ears buzzing last year with a (then unidentified) white label 12” and have been doing the business with their recent Need Someone and Starting Block EPs.

The band’s full length eponymous debut (out now), Rough Trade November Album Of The Month, ‘Stubborn Heart’ is a stunning and surprisingly poignant modern electronic soul record.

BBC 6Music are giving away a specially recorded Stubborn Heart version of ‘White Christmas’ as part of their MPFree Festive Giveaway series. The song aired on Lauren Laverne’s show last week and is available to download for free from the 6Music website until wednesday this week.

Stubborn Heart play 3 UK dates in January. Click here for details.
