Ásgeir: Debut Single ‘King and Cross’ Released Today

12 Aug 2013

Ásgeir’s debut English language single ‘King and Cross’ is released today. The song was premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show last month and has since been featured on, The Line Of Best Fit, and The Guardian. Buy the single on iTunes here.

At just 21 years of age Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir has become a sensation in his domestic music scene - staggeringly, almost 10% of the Icelandic population now own his debut album ‘Dyrd í dauðathogn’ – the English version, translated by John Grant, will be released worldwide this autumn as ‘In The Silence’. The Icelandic version has now gone triple platinum in Iceland and won Ásgeir 4 Icelandic Music Awards and a nomination for the Nordic Music Prize earlier this year.

Ásgeir supports Of Monsters and Men throughout the UK and Europe this summer. Click here for a full list of dates.
