Marry Waterson & Oliver Knight: New song, album and live news
Marry Waterson & Oliver Knight are previewing another track from their forthcoming second album ‘Hidden’. The new song ‘Sustained Notes’ features a hypnotic kaleidoscope video made by Marry herself.
Differing markedly from the very personally felt themes of their debut, Hidden finds brilliant expression through the vivid characters and stories inhabiting its 11 songs. The album also boasts special guest appearances from Martin Carthy (Benign), Andrew Sisters style harmonies from Eliza Carthy (Going, Going, Gone) and a further dusting of vocal magic from acapella trio Coope, Boyes and Simpson on Russian Dolls.
Hidden is released on September 24th and is already picking up rave reviews with Q calling it “A great leap on from an already remarkable debut”.
Pre-order Hidden direct from One Little Shop or from Amazon.
Marry and Oliver will be playing songs from Hidden live for the first time at The Slaughtered Lamb in London on September 17th. Tickets are available from here.
