Kathryn Williams & The Pond Tour Starts Today
Kathryn Williams & The Pond’s UK tour begins today at The Sage 2 in Gateshead.
Throughout their fully electric tour, Kathryn Williams will be joined by Neill MacColl as well as Simon Edwards alongside Jonny Enright (Keys + Trombone + Vox) and Richard Marcangelo (Drums + Electronic Percussion).
Fans will already be familiar with Neill from his and Kathryn’s stunning 2008 album, Two, and some songs from that album will be getting The Pond’s otherworldly make-over on these dates. On their performing chemistry The Independent noted ‘They draw the best out of each other … Their telepathic understanding and vocals blend are breath taking.’
Kathryn has also announced herself as solo support for The Pond’s shows. This part of the show “Will be the quieter end of my spectrum” she reveals. “Mostly solo, and a bit with Neill MacColl. So there is a real juxtaposition between the two sets. I’ll be using tape echo and loops with my vocal - I’ve never messed so much with pedals and my voice before. Should be fun!”
