Kathryn Williams: New Album Crown Electric Out Today

30 Sep 2013

Kathryn Williams’ much anticipated, first solo album in 3 years ‘Crown Electric’ is out today! The 13 track album includes the lead single ‘Heart Shaped Stone’ and is available to order now on iTunes, Amazon and the OLI store.

Produced by long-time musical foil Neill McColl and mixed by David Wrench, ‘Crown Electric’ was largely recorded at Bryn Derwen Studios in Wales with sumptuous strings added at Ray Davies legendary Konk Studios in North London. It boasts some stunning collaborations with Ed Harcourt (‘Darkness Light’, ‘Morning Twilight’, ‘Sequins’) and James Yorkston (‘Arwen’).

One of Britain’s finest songwriters, Kathryn’s music has always challenged the distinctions between folk and pop, but with songs as strong as ‘Monday Morning’ and ‘Heart Shaped Stone’ waiting in the wings, ‘Crown Electric’ has the potential to catapult Kathryn into a much bigger league.

Crown Electric can now be ordered here:

Direct from the label
