Kathryn Williams has announced that she will be playing London’s Union Chapel on November 19 as a part of her biggest UK tour to date. For tickets click here.
Produced by long-time musical foil Neill McColl and mixed by David Wrench, ‘Crown Electric’, Kathryn Williams’ forthcoming new album, was largely recorded at Bryn Derwen Studios in Wales with sumptuous strings added at Ray Davies legendary Konk Studios in North London. It boasts some stunning collaborations with Ed Harcourt (‘Darkness Light’, ‘Morning Twilight’, ‘Sequins’) and James Yorkston (‘Arwen’).
One of Britain’s finest songwriters, Kathryn’s music has always challenged the distinctions between folk and pop, but with songs as strong as ‘Monday Morning’ and ‘Heart Shaped Stone’ waiting in the wings, ‘Crown Electric’ has the potential to catapult Kathryn into a much bigger league.
The lead single, ‘Heart Shaped Stone’, is due for release on Monday 5th August (UPDATE - release date changed to 30th September), and is available for pre-order here. Give it a listen below.
‘Crown Electric’ will be released on 30th September.
