The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York has officially announced a retrospective exhibition dedicated entirely to Björk and her musical career and collaborations over the years. The exhibition, organised and curated by Klaus Biesenbach, will open March 7, 2015 and will be on display until June 7, 2015.
The exhibition, titled ‘Björk’, draws from her seven full-length albums - from ‘Debut’ to ‘Biophilia’ - and and incorporates elements from her artistic collaborations, performances, costumes and instruments. Moreover, Björk has written a new narrative thread that will tie together her work in an immersive music and film experience, conceived and realised with director Andrew Huang and 3-D design leader Autodesk.
“Björk is an extraordinarily innovative artist whose contributions to contemporary music, video, film, fashion, and art have had a major impact on her generation worldwide,” said Mr. Biesenbach. “This highly experimental exhibition offers visitors a direct experience of her hugely collaborative body of work.”
