Ben Fitzgerald, one half of electronic soul duo Stubborn Heart, has recently scored a new performance documentary called PAYDAY.
PAYDAY, which was directed by FRED&NICK and narrated by George the Poet, is an innovative, unique and hard-hitting performance documentary set in the heart of Croydon, which delves into the finances and wallets of four twenty-somethings that came of age in the financial crisis, a generation blighted by debt as well as overwhelmed by consumerism. The film focuses on the contrasting lives of our diverse cast from the moment they receive their ‘payday’ money and what they go on to do with it.
You can watch the trailer here and the film will be aired on Channel 4 on Monday 10th February 2014 at 11pm.
Equally inspired by 80’s and 90’s electronic music and 60’s and 70’s soul, Stubborn Heart never lose their passion for good pop music – everything from Hall & Oates to Timbaland. Recent comparisons have been drawn with the XX, Sbtrkt, James Blake & Four Tet.
