We are very excited to announce that Astrid Williamson will be playing a one-off solo acoustic gig in London, her first in two years! Catch her on May 23rd at London’s 1901 Arts Club. This is a show you won’t want to miss!
Originally a member of Nude Records signees Goya Dress, Astrid Williamson’s career stretches back 2 decades. Born in the Shetland Isles, she obtained a degree in music from the Royal Scottish Academy and is a classically trained pianist. Goya Dress disbanded in 1996 and Williamson released her first solo album ‘Boy For You’ two years later. Since then, she has released four LPs and in 2011 teamed up with ambient artist Leo Abrahams who recorded her most recent album ‘Pulse’.
Currently in the studio working on new material Astrid’s performance will include some acoustic versions of songs from her new album which is expected in early 2015.
