Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson is an Icelandic solo artist as well as a member of GusGus, Nýdönsk and Esja. In 1989, he participated in the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 22nd place. After releasing 5 albums with Nýdönsk, he began his solo career in 2000, as well as writing music for TV and documentary films and composing scores for the Iceland Dance Company. His debut solo record ‘Swallow A Star’ was released on OLI in 2005, after which he formed Esja with Mínus frontman Krummi, releasing a self-titled album in 2008. Ágúst is currently working on his second solo LP.
