Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Cody ChesnuTT was previously in the band The Crosswalk before going solo. He released his first LP – a double album called ‘The Headphone Masterpiece’ – under his own name in 2002, having recorded it on a 4-track recorder in his bedroom studio, which he calls ‘The Sonic Promiseland’. In 2002, hip hop group The Roots had huge success with their version of ‘The Seed’ and invited him to play guitar and sing on the new version. In 2012 Cody ChesnuTT released his first full length LP in 10 years, the excellent, lush and soulful ‘Landing On A Hundred’.
