Clem Snide

Label: Spin Art Records

With a name taken from a William Burroughs character, Clem Snide began in Boston in the early 1990s with friends Eef Barzelay, Eric Paul and Jason Glasser. The band dissolved when Barzelay moved to New York but he soon reconnected with Glasser and the group reformed to release their first album ‘You Were A Diamond’ in 1998, releasing a further six albums via spinART over the next seven years.  In this period Glasser moved to France but Barzelay continued, recruiting cousins Pete and Brendan Fitzpatrick and drummer Ben Martin. The band took an “extended break” in 2004 but reformed once again five years later and, inspired by the devotion of their fans, began work on a new album, ‘The Meat of Life’, released in February 2010.
