Astrid Williamson

Originally a member of Nude Records signees Goya Dress, Astrid Williamson’s career stretches back 18 years. Born in the Shetland Isles, she obtained a degree in music from the Royal Scottish Academy and is a classically trained pianist. Goya Dress disbanded in 1996 and Williamson released her first solo album ‘Boy For You’ two years later. She has released three LPs since then and has teamed up with ambient artist Leo Abrahams to record her forthcoming album ‘Pulse’ – due late summer 2011 -  after seeing him perform as part of Brian Eno’s Pure Scenius project at the 2010 Brighton Festival.
