British dream pop duo Alex Ayuli and Rudy Tambala formed in East London in 1986, deriving their band name partially from their own first names. They released 3 studio albums, with the last, ‘New Clear Child’, released in 1994. A compilation entitled Americana was released on David Byrne’s label Lukka Bop in 1992. Since they split, Ayuli has contributed vocals to Fax’s latest album and Tambala now records as MusicOne. As well as A R Kane, they were also part of the M/A/R/R/S collective, who were responsible for the classic 1987 number 1 single ‘Pump Up The Volume’.
