Queenadreena "Live at the ICA"
Following Queenadreena’s remarkable album “Butcher and the Butterfly” on One Little Indian, Queenadreena is set to release “Live at the ICA”. A glimpse into a world that is not run on straight lines, but one that is frequently unpredictable and exciting – as all rock music should be.
This Summer saw Queenadreena support Marilyn Manson in Paris and open up the Download Festival (main stage) in June. Shudder, sweat, laugh, and cry as the CD captures the excitement and the emotion exchanged between Katie-Jane and her audience.
The CD will be accessorised later in the year with a matching DVD from the same sell-out gig at The ICA, back in March. As you will see/hear, their performance did nothing to undermine that rep for arousal, as she writhed in her scanties… her voice as fragile as a last breath, as intimate as the final exhalation of un petit mort, captured here. Thrill to the rustle and rip of silk against trembling limbs…. Grrrrrrr!!!

Queenadreena: "The Butcher & The Butterfly"
KatieJane Garside - vocals / Crispin Gray - guitar / Melanie Ann Garside - bass / Pete Howard - drums
Queenadreena; a hail of joyous oblivion, anger, beauty and riffs that tumble like anvils down an up-escalator. Fearsome and awe inspiring live, with a core following of ardent fans and admirers in the UK.
“The daisy has blossomed but it’s still got vicious teeth” - NME

FM DOLL (single 1 from Butcher and the Butterfly)
‘Strip baby strip ‘cos you know you’re worth nothing,’ screams Queenadreena’s KatieJane Garside, and with such ferocity we almost jump clean out of our skin. This here is a fantastic single, awash with dark ambiguity, a bitter rant that hides behind a teasing smile.
Raw and basic the single pulls no punches, lyrically inspired by the murder of Jon-Benet Ramsey, a six year old American beauty who met her death on Christmas day 1996, F.M Doll is the first taste of Queenadreena's forthcoming album 'Butcher and the Butterfly' currently being recorded in Bath Moles studio [Elbow, The Coral]. The album is being produced by Paul Corkett who has worked with the Cooper Temple Clause, Placebo and The Cure.
